I love Mother's Day!!

I think I have the sweetest boys around...now I know you all would like to argue with me about that but since it's my blog, I can say that ;). They were so cute...yesterday morning I was getting ready for church and I could see them sneaking around and whispering and just as we were ready to leave they presented me with their treasures. When I unwrapped my gift I had to laugh....a month or two ago I was shopping with the boys and as we walked past a jewellery store we stopped and looked at this collection of beautiful crystal jewellery and figurines. I told them how I beautiful I thought it was and how that would be a wonderful Mother's Day gift. Well...a good thing to remember from now on is that kids really do listen and take what we Mommy's say very much to heart. When Trev took them shopping they were very determined in what they wanted to get me...their was no changing their mind :). So I received a beautiful crystal necklace for Mother's day. They were soooo thrilled to give it to me. Sweet boys.

Then of course they each presented me with their hand-made mother's day card they had each made at school. And you know what? Those cards are just as precious to me as any piece of jewellery they could have ever given me. I have looked at those cards several times today and they put tears in my eyes. You know...it won't be very many years of my life where I'll receive 3 of those sweet cards at one time. Seth is already 9 years old...in just a few short years he's going to be "too cool" to make his mom a Mother's Day card. And his was soooo cute....it was a little book with about 5 pages of things that are special about his mom. I realize more and more that I just have to treasure these years...they are going to speed by much too fast.

So I loved my Mother's Day. My boys made me feel like a queen. I hope you all had a wonderful day full of warm and squishy feelings too!
