"Oh the weather outside is frightful...but inside it's so delightful...la la la la la la la la" :)
Yes...we've had a very chilly, very white and snowy weekend. We've been so spoiled by weeks of beautiful warm weather that this was a bit of an adjustment, although the kids loved it. They've spent hours outside this weekend. The snow never lasts very long out here so when it comes in a dumping the boys take full advantage of it. It's funny...last Sunday the boys had their baseball evaluations and we barbecued out on the deck and today the deck has a foot of snow on it.
This was yesterday evening. When the 3 older boys went out to play Jude
desparately wanted to go out too. However, he would NOT leave his mittens on and his hands got very red and cold so he had to come in shortly after.
And this is the 3 boys FLYING down the deck steps with their boogie boards *shaking my head*

Life has been pretty quiet for the past couple of weeks. Our very good friends Mike and Elaine were out for spring break at the end of March. We had an awesome time with them. Seth and Nic got to go to a Flames game with their dads...unfortunately they lost that game but they had a good time anyway. We spent a day at the water park and I kept my boys home from school one day (we had an earlier spring break) so that the kids could hang out. And of course, Elaine and I spent a whole day shopping and lunching...we had a great time. It was so nice for the kids to reconnect again...they're all such good friends.

The kids are doing well. Jude is changing so quickly these past few weeks. He's picking up new words every day and it's so fun to hear him repeating everything we say...it's such a fun stage. One of his favourite foods right now is yogurt and he knows how to open the fridge (oh joy!) so he'll open the fridge, get himself a yogurt, climb on the handle of the bottom drawer to reach the cutlery and get himself a spoon and come to Trev or me saying "oeg oeg oeg oeg oeg oeg oeg oeg" ( that would mean "yogurt") ....it's so funny.
However, it's also the stage of those "wonderful 2's" ;). He has become a very very busy boy...into EVERYTHING!! He leaves me very tired by evening...thank GOODNESS for afternoon naps!! And he's just discovered that he can push the kitchen chairs up the counter and reach all kinds of fun things to play with...sigh.
And he is currently obsessed with all things "Cars" (as in the movie). First thing in the morning it's "car on?" "car on?" "car on?" and on and on until we finally put it on for him. And when it's over he wants it on again.
Watching "Cars" with Daddy just this morning. He gets soooo excited when it comes on and he's just glued to all the action. He watches for about 20 minutes or so until the story slows down and then he loses interest.

This was one day last week when I told him that was enough "Cars", and that he couldn't watch it again. Total meltdown on the bed...LOL!!

He also has these 4 little cars books that are the only books he ever looks at...and he studies them very intently....over and over again.

Seth, Jonah and Sam are supposed to be starting baseball this week but with the snow I think it will be put off for another week. Seth and Sam will be playing on Monday and Wednesday nights and Jonah will be Tuesday and Thursday night...aye ya yay. It will be busy but I'm looking forward to it...after seeing how much they improved through the season last year I'm curious to see how they'll do this year. And Sam playing t-ball will just be too cute :).
Anyway..that's where we're at. Here's one last picture...have you met my two sons Darth Vader and Optimus Prime?? ;)
