Rocket Launch!

With the coming of the new year we've started our search for a church to attend. For the past 2 Sundays we've gone to the Evangelical Free Church. It's a little different than what we're used to...but the people are very friendly and welcoming...last Sunday we were actually invited over for lunch for today. They had us and another family over. We had a really nice time. The church also has a great Boys Bridage program for the kids. Seth, Jonah and Sam went last Tuesday and they were getting ready for their rocket launch on Saturday. So, the boys got a rocket to take home and we spent Thursday and Friday evenings building it. On Saturday, we were up bright and early and headed out into the country where they were having the rocket launch on a big frozen pond. The boys LOVED it. They got to shoot their rocket up about 5 or 6 times. After that one of the fins broke off and that was it. It was a beautiful morning...perfectly blue sky, no breeze, not too cold...perfect for a rocket launch. Here are some pictures from our morning:

This was Jude's first time wearing boots and walking in snow. The boots were a bit big and bulky so he spent the first hour doing a lot of falling down and doing face plants...which really ticked him off. After a while he got the hang of it and had a great time wandering all over the place. Every now and then we'd head over to the fire they had going to warm up his little hands.
